South London’s DIY Drag King collective of established performers The Family Jewels host a shiny showcase of first-time performers debuting acts created in a day-long workshop.
With performances from The Family Jewels founding members including Beau Jangles, Dan Load, Dickie Martin, and Sir, alongside an eclectic collection of Baby Kings and Fresh Princes.
About The Family Jewels:
The Family Jewels have performed at VAULT Festival, DIY Space For London, The Southbank Centre, Lez Fest, L Fest (Llandudno, where they were L Fest Award nominated for Best Workshop), Switchboard’s Annual Volunteers Party, and Aberration (Aberystwyth). They recently hosted the main performance stage for the first ever UK Bi Pride celebration at Round Chapel.
Members include Beau Jangles (finalist of ‘Man Up’, Europe’s biggest Drag King competition), Ben Dyldo (aka Award-winning Poet & Playwright Jemima Foxtrot), and Dan Load (aka Beth Watson founder of Bechdel Theatre, and host of Drag to Watch Out For).
