An exhibition of paintings depicting London as a series of villages
‘I celebrate the villages and communities that make up our city.
I focus on the great architecture while also highlighting what I consider to be the less attractive developments.
I show the daily goings -on of the people on our streets. I like to see the beauty and humour of our day to day existence – at the same time not ignoring the scruffy bits.
London is an ever – changing place in an ever changing world.
I wish to celebrate the small, human – scale dwellings which contrast with the new high rise towers built of steel and glass for maximum profits.
I look low in protest against the way they have gone high, spoiling London’s beautiful old skyline.’
