Join us in our Fun Palace on Saturday 1st October at Omnibus for an afternoon of creativity and family fun.
We’re proud to be part of the Fun Palace campaign to put culture at the heart of local communities, using pop-up performance and participation spaces to create a national weekend dedicated to the arts and science.
Here at Omnibus we will be creating an interactive workshop using second-hand books, celebrating our heritage as the site of Clapham’s old library.
Come along for music and a fun-filled afternoon where everyone can participate in creating a unique monument to learning. This unique structure will be on show throughout October, meaning you will be able to see and share it every time you walk past!
By converting books into a work of art, everyone who participates will gain insights into the transformative power of art and the importance of knowledge transmitted through literature, and libraries. Everyone can be creative and working together with others will, we hope, spark your interest in future projects.
Fun Palace is an on-going campaign for culture at the heart of community, with an annual weekend of arts and science events created by, for and with local people.
The Fun Palaces Manifesto: We believe in the genius in everyone, in everyone an artist and everyone a scientist, and that creativity in community can change the world for the better.
We believe we can do this together – and that anyone, anywhere can make a Fun Palace.
