Scott comes from Birmingham and trained as an actor at Arts Ed. Whilst acting he performed in productions at venues including The Marlowe Theatre, Southwark Playhouse and The Kings Head as well as appearing in various short films and music videos. Several years ago Scott made a transition from actor to director.

He has just finished as a director on the Birmingham Rep’s first Foundry Programme. His credits include: Director- At War (The Equilibrium/Southwark Playhouse), My Number 1 Favourite Lesbian by Tom Wells (Oubox/Arcola), La Mastication des Morts (Camden Peoples Theatre), Flight, Conference Call, Mandrake (Brockley Jack Studio), 35 Black Suits (Hidden Histories/Rep 100, Old Rep, Birmingham), Homework (The London Theatre), Basement Flat (Off Cut Festival 2011, Riverside Studios), Macbeth (Greenwich Playhouse), The Trunk (Off Cut finalist 2010, Old Red Lion), Work and Vision of Pride (Golden Delilah/Theatre 503). Assistant Director- A Christmas Carol (Birmingham Rep), Henry VI, Part I (The Rose, Bankside), Von Ribbentrop’s Watch (Oxford Playhouse/Watford Palace), Kurt and Sid (Trafalgar Studios).

Scott also works as a Resident Facilitator at the Almeida Theatre. He has led workshops for Shakespeare’s Schools Festival, New Found Theatre, Theatre Workout and is Head of Acting at SOTE (School of Theatre Excellence). In addition, Scott was assistant tutor with the Cut 2 company at the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch and was assistant director on their production of The Crucible.
